🍓 Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream

Ingredients:

  • Fresh Strawberries: 500g, hulled and sliced
  • Heavy Cream: 500ml (cold)
  • Condensed Milk: 1 can (397g)
  • Sugar: 2 tbsp (to macerate the berries)
  • Vanilla Extract: 1 tsp
  • Lemon Juice: 1 tsp

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Berries: In a bowl, toss the sliced strawberries with sugar and lemon juice. Let them sit for 15 minutes, then mash half of them with a fork for texture.
  2. Whip Cream: In a large chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  3. Combine: Gently fold the condensed milk and vanilla extract into the whipped cream using a spatula.
  4. Mix: Fold in the mashed and sliced strawberries carefully to maintain a marbled look.
  5. Freeze: Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container. Smooth the top and cover with plastic wrap (touching the surface to prevent ice crystals).
  6. Set: Freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  7. Serve: Let it sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping.
