
Ingredients:
- Ground beef: 500g (80% lean for best flavor)
- Burger buns: 4 brioche or sesame buns
- Cheddar cheese: 4 thick slices
- Red onion: Finely sliced rings
- Lettuce: Fresh iceberg or romaine leaves
- Tomato: Sliced into rounds
- Pickles: Sliced dill pickles
- Butter: For toasting the buns
- Salt & Black pepper: To season the meat
Burger Sauce:
- Mayonnaise: 3 tbsp
- Ketchup: 2 tbsp
- Mustard: 1 tsp
Instructions:
- Shape the ground beef into 4 equal patties, slightly wider than your buns.
- Season both sides of the patties generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side.
- Place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- Lightly butter and toast the buns until golden brown.
- Mix the sauce ingredients together and spread on the bottom bun.
- Assemble by layering the lettuce, tomato, cheesy patty, onions, and pickles.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve with crispy fries.
