🍔 Classic Homemade Burger

Ingredients:

  • Ground beef: 500g (80% lean for best flavor)
  • Burger buns: 4 brioche or sesame buns
  • Cheddar cheese: 4 thick slices
  • Red onion: Finely sliced rings
  • Lettuce: Fresh iceberg or romaine leaves
  • Tomato: Sliced into rounds
  • Pickles: Sliced dill pickles
  • Butter: For toasting the buns
  • Salt & Black pepper: To season the meat

Burger Sauce:

  • Mayonnaise: 3 tbsp
  • Ketchup: 2 tbsp
  • Mustard: 1 tsp

Instructions:

  1. Shape the ground beef into 4 equal patties, slightly wider than your buns.
  2. Season both sides of the patties generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. Place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
  5. Lightly butter and toast the buns until golden brown.
  6. Mix the sauce ingredients together and spread on the bottom bun.
  7. Assemble by layering the lettuce, tomato, cheesy patty, onions, and pickles.
  8. Top with the other half of the bun and serve with crispy fries.
